Ruby Crowned Kinglet - photo taken in the Ojai Meadows, California. I was feeling really fortunate when this Ruby Crowned Kinglet alit on a sunny branch some 10 feet away for long enough that I could follow with my lens. No time to set the tripod. And to get a glint of the ruby crown too. I got two shots this one showed the eye. The Ruby Crowned Kinglet is on the branch of a young Valley Oak, Quercus lobata.
