Monarch Caterpillar chrysalis final day.
Original image 30.4 Mp - Cropped image 1752 x 1288
Follow the Monarch Life Cycle - During the final day of the maturing of the chrysalis the skin turns transparant and the colors of the adult butterfly can be seen for the first time. One of the most amazing parts to this transformation is that the Monarch Caterpillar hangs in a J with its head up and ends up with its head pointed down ready to eclose or to come out as an adult butterfly.
